THE BIG JACK BLOWER

GENERAL
The Big Jack A4 Series Blower is a Rotary Positive Displacement Unit, utilizing twin, figure eight, lobe rotors driven through precision helical timing gears. All parts are machined to close tolerances. The blower has Ductile Iron Rotors with Gray Iron Cast, two piece Housings, End Plates and Covers. Every blower is given a complete performance test prior to shipment. All blowers are shipped in the vertical mounting position.
The A4 Series Blower has double-end oil sumps. The gear end has roller bearings while the drive end uses double row ball bearings. Oil Flingers are provided on each end of the blower.
Sealing : A positive sealing system is used with air seal on each shaft at the air box, backed up by oil seals, each mounted over shaft sleeves in the end plates.
Venting: Air between seals in each end plate. Drilled holes in the bottom of the castings take air to atmosphere. Oil reservors are vented through the breather filler at the top of end plate.
Application:
Industrial Blowers
Blowers that carry a "C" designator have connected oil sumps. The blower may be filled with oil from either end. Oil flows to the opposite sump thru tubes that are cast into the housing.
Truck Blowers:
Blowers that carry a "K" designator have independent oil sumps. Truck blowers must be filled with oil at each end of the blower. THE OIL WILL NOT FLOW FROM ONE SUMP TO THE OTHER.
